I will be talking to the students about Internet Safety and Netiquette and I will also be giving them their School District accounts. I will be sending home a Netiquette agreement with the students and I would like use to sign it as an acknowledgement that the students have shown it to you. I will give the students their passwords and send home a copy for you to have.
Subjects
Math: We continue practicing division and learning strategies to divide with one and two digit numbers.
Reading: Students have been reading number of fables and they will summarize one of them.
Writing: This week's paragraph was on the student's favourite food. They will write and print a copy of it as well as make a recording on Adobe Voice.
Keyboarding: Keyboarding practice continues. www.freetypinggame.net
Science: We've finished with digestion for now and we will be starting a Social Studies unit on the Gold Rush to BC.
Art: Students are finishing a neat activity drawing winter trees. They first did a background wash on a large sheet of paper and then they have done the outline of couple of birch trees. It's almost finished and it looks great!
PE: We are practicing basketball skills for the next few weeks. I teach a dance lesson every Wednesday. French: We continue to practice the days of the week and the months plus they have learned about the weather.
