It was an exciting and active Friday. Not only was it Valentine's Day, it was also Backward's Day and Pizza Day! What a lot of activities for the students to have fun with.
Subjects
Math: We've started division and are learning division patterns with simple questions and practice.
Reading: We continue with readers' theatre and we'll also start looking at fables and myths this week.
Writing: Students continue to learn and practice paragraph writing. They have also completed an interesting online project using Adobe Voice.
Keyboarding: Keyboarding practice continues. www.freetypinggame.net
Science: Students are showing the class their project on digestion using the digital projector and Apple TV.
Art: Students completed a really great activity covering white paper with multi-colored pastels then painting it with thick blue paint. After it was dry they scratched the paint away to create a cool underwater scene. Check it out--they are hanging up in the hallway.
PE: We are practicing basketball skills for the next few weeks. I teach a dance lesson every Wednesday. We're continue to do folk dancing.Art: Students completed a really great activity covering white paper with multi-colored pastels then painting it with thick blue paint.
