Students did really well on their multiplication quiz last week. It's good to seem some good results from hard work in the class. We resume Rock Kamp this week after last week's class was cancelled because Diona was ill. Anne Glover will perform on Wednesday, she does stories with Cat's Cradle.
Subjects
Math: We'll be practicing rounding for a few days then division. We've established Quinn's Universal Rule of Rounding: 5 and up, round up.
Reading: We continue with readers' theatre and we'll also start looking at fables and myths soon.
Writing: Students continue to learn and practice paragraph writing.
Keyboarding: Keyboarding practice continues. www.freetypinggame.net
Science: Students are nearly finished their research projection on digestion using Keynote on the iPad minis. When they are done they will show the class their project using the digital projector and Apple TV.
Art: We continue investigating colour using a variety of media.
PE: On Monday morning we will show the school a demonstration of some gymnastics we've been working on, plus they will perform a square dance called the Texas Star.Art: We continue investigating colour using a variety of media.
French: We are practicing days of the week with a fun marching song. Next well do les saisons.
