This Week
This
is going to be a very busy and hectic week.
First, we have several basketball games this week all at Fulford: boys
play Monday at lunch, girls play after school on Tuesday, and both boys and
girls play at lunch on Wednesday. Second,
we have multi-cultural week which means getting our class ready to present our
info on Mexico, plus visit other classes and their countries during the week. Finally, we do have to do some school
work. Whew!
Subjects
Math: We’ve
started division and we’ll be doing it for a few weeks.
Reading: Students
are continuing to work on their brochure of their favourite god or goddess. We have started to chat about choosing a play
for this year’s school presentation and we’ll be reading some scripts over the
next few weeks. Then we’ll be narrowing
the choices down to a couple and hopefully we’ll be able to choose a play
before spring break.
Writing:
Students are continue to finish a story involving dialogue.
Art: This week we complete our art based on Mexico.
PE: Students
are learning basketball skills and many are participating in the girls’ and
boys’ teams. Tuesdays we’re learning folk dances and the Mexican hat dance.
French: Students continue to learn
basic vocabulary and phrases and practice speaking in class.
