This Week
Back to normal, sort of!  This week we have a skipping group coming from Victoria for a show on Tuesday morning.  I’m sure it will inspire the students to do a lot of skipping.  On Wednesday each class has a presentation on the Sea Aquaria that is in the upstairs lobby.  We’ll also be continuing to look at scripts for our class play this year.  On Thursday there are parent/teachers interviews.  There is a sign-up sheet outside my class or you can phone or email me to make arrangements.

Subjects
Math: We continue dividing and we’re practicing a math game I taught the class called “Bizz Buzz”.   Ask them how to play, it’s pretty tricky.
Reading: We might finish off the brochure on gods/goddesses then we’ll be looking at word usage and poetry for a few weeks.
Writing: Students will be learning how to use a wiki page site to write a biography of themselves.
Art: This week we’ll be looking at the colour wheel and mixing colours.
PE:  Students are learning basketball skills and many are participating in the girls’ and boys’ teams. Tuesdays we’re learning folk dances.  Now that we’ve learned the Mexican Hat Dance, I’ll teach the students other folk dances such as the grapevine and a Hawaiian hula dance.
French: Students continue to learn basic vocabulary and phrases and practice speaking in class.
