This Week
      We’ll be completing some more Christmas decorations this week and making the room festive.  On Thursday we’re going caroling in town and for a swim with Ms. Kennedy’s and Ms. Huntley’s class.   
Math: We’ll wrap up subtraction this week and begin multiplication. 
Reading: This week we’ll be doing some Christmas story reading and assessing oral reading.
Writing:  We will be completing the Driftwood Christmas story and writing Santa letters to our kindergarten buddy class.   
Social studies: We had lots of fun with the indoor orienteering course.  I made it quite tough for them to find the controls.  We’ll look at the capitals of the provinces and investigate longitude and latitude.
Art: We continue with Christmas crafts this week.
Recorder: Students will be practing Christmas music so that we can perform at the whole school meeting next week.
PE: Monday—jogging and fitness; Tuesday--dance; and Wednesday and Thursday are game days—volleyball continues.
