This Week
      On Wednesday we are going to visit the Hepburn’s Christmas tree farm with our kindergarten buddy class.   
Math: For the next couple of weeks we’ll be looking at the basic operations of addition and subtraction. 
Reading: Reading groups continue 3 days a week.  Currently students are learning to read out loud and practicing the oral skills such as expression and fluency. Our group is also focusing on prefixes.
Writing:  Students continue to write fictional stories focusing on using descriptive words.   
Social studies: This week we are investigating plate tectonics and continental drift.  Check out the 1st video on the video bar about continental drift.  Later this week students will be completing a map on Canada and the provinces.
Art: Continue with types of lettering—bubble letters and other interesting fonts.
Recorder: Students will be getting some Christmas music to practice and learn this week.
PE: Monday—jogging and fitness; Tuesday--dance; and Wednesday and Thursday are game days—volleyball continues.
