This Week
This week is a very busy one for us.  We will spend many hours practicing for our play The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe.  Performances will be on Wednesday at 1:00 and Wednesday/Thursday at 7:00.  The play is amazing and the students have worked extremely hard to get their performances right.  You will be very proud of them and this will be a highlight of the year.

Subjects
Math: We are learning all about fractions in the next couple of weeks.
Reading: All our focus has been on practicing and rehearsing the play.
Writing: Students continue writing different types of poetry.
Art: Students are learning about Pacific Northwest native art.
PE:  Track and field was a great success.  We are practicing dances for the show and then will be working with gymnastics.
Science: Students are nearly finished the PowerPoint on simple machines.  They will be able to show it to you at the Student-led Conference at the end of the year.
French: Students continue to learn basic vocabulary and phrases while viewing “Telefrancais”.
