This Week
The bicycle helmets should be arriving early this week.  They have great colours and designs.  Monday morning our class goes to SIMS for a visit.  They will be giving small group tours around the school and answering questions about SIMS.  We’ll be back at 12:00.  On Wednesday an author, Andrea Spalding, is coming to visit the school and give a presentation about her books.  Meanwhile, we’ll be practicing extensively for our Dance Show that will be presented on June 21.

Math: In fractions students are learning about equivalent fractions and mixed and improper fractions.
Reading: In Lit Circles students will be making a plot graph and choosing an activity to do with a novel they have enjoyed..
Writing:  Students are continuing to write creative stories and spending time outside writing in their nature journals.
Computer: Students are finished their Powerpoints and will show their project to parents at a student-led conference at the end of the year on June 26.
Art: We are focusing on drawing the face this week and making sets for the Dance Show.
PE: Now that track is over we are spending a lot of time outdoors playing group games such as Ultimate (a Frisbee game).  Tuesday times we are practicing for our upcoming dance show.
