Tuesday we are going to Cusheon Cove for a day of history and nature with Saltspring Conservancy. If you would to go with us, meet us at the classroom at 9:30 on Tuesday.
Math: We continue with the theme of Patterns. We are looking at coordinates.
Reading: We continue to work with Reading A to Z, as well as reading individually, and completing word studies.
Writing: We continue to focus on sentences: punctuation, grammar, spelling, and making sentences interesting. Students write daily in a journal on a variety of topics.
Science. Students are learning to identify trees. We continue to investigate the hemispheres of the brain.
Art: The focus is lines and patterns.
Recorder: This year students are learning to play the recorder. They are learning the scale and practicing the notes B, A, and G.
PE: We continue with jogging and fitness on Monday; Tuesday is dance; and Wednesday and Thursday are game days.
